Airport IoT Solutions

Customer Experience and Operations Enhancement.

As an IoT Segment Director in the Smart Cities & Transportation group, Ed drove new business initiatives with Intel customers, pre and post-pandemic in the Airports segment. He established collaborative proof-of-concept engagements with partners and airport operators globally, to support solution scaling.  Ed developed and presented the growth strategy and  business case for executive approval and funding.

High Performance Computing

As a Sr. Product manager for hyperscale compute systems at Intel, Ed led a cross-functional team to define rack scale data center systems.  In the High Performance Computing (HPC) segment, he was the product management lead in defining the product, rallying partners, and launching a new system software business model, HPC Orchestrator, in line with launching the OpenHPC open source community.

Consumer Electronics Innovation

Ed led the introduction of early products derived from the intersection of new wireless broadband technologies and the need for “everywhere” audio in the home.  He defined, developed, and brought to market wireless audio systems at Aperion Audio and the Altec Lansing division of Plantronics.  Ed commercialized the first wireless home theater system based on WiSA technology.

Bio

Ed has held leadership positions in product management, marketing, and strategic business development in technology focused companies, including Intel, Plantronics, Qwest, Comcast, and Motorola.  He has also consulted various firms in the area of new markets and new product innovation. Having successfully launched new products in the Internet of Things, cloud server, broadband data, IPTV, and consumer electronics industries. A quick study on the application of technologies to customer problems, Ed has helped organizations successfully innovate through customer research and engagement, market analysis, guiding agile product development, and launching new technologies to market by building highly collaborative partner relationships for mutual success.
